Mandy Shergill is the principal of Shergill Law Corporation and practises as both a lawyer and a mediator. Her practice is devoted to family law: separation and divorce, child and spousal support, parenting arrangements and guardianship, property and debt division, and mediation.

She has argued complex family matters at all levels of court in British Columbia, and offers mediation where it can resolve a matter faster and at lower cost than litigation. Acting in both roles means she can tell you early which route your situation actually calls for.

Mandy has been interviewed by The Tyee, the Globe and Mail and New Canadian Media regarding the exploitation and abuse of international students in the workplace. She has assisted numerous international students and foreign workers in obtaining significant settlements, and continues to advocate for them on a voluntary basis.

Born and raised in Surrey, British Columbia, Ramneet is proud to serve individuals and families throughout the Lower Mainland. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Law and Society. She then attended the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, where she obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with Honours.

Ramneet joined Shergill Law Corporation in January 2024, commenced her articles with the firm in July 2024, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in July 2025. Since her call to the Bar, she has devoted her practice exclusively to family law.

Family law is deeply personal to Ramneet. She recognizes that separation, parenting disputes, and financial issues can be among the most stressful and emotionally challenging experiences a person will face. She is committed to providing compassionate, practical, and results-oriented legal representation while ensuring every client feels heard, respected, and supported throughout the legal process.

Ramneet is a strong advocate both inside and outside the courtroom. She believes effective advocacy is not measured solely by success in litigation, but also by knowing when a negotiated resolution is in a client's best interests. Wherever possible, she works collaboratively with opposing counsel to resolve disputes through negotiation, mediation, and four-way settlement meetings, recognizing that these processes often preserve relationships, reduce legal costs, and allow clients to maintain greater control over the outcome of their case. At the same time, when litigation is necessary, Ramneet is a fearless and determined advocate who is prepared to vigorously protect her clients' interests.

Her practice includes advising clients on all aspects of family law, including parenting arrangements, child and spousal support, property division, and drafting family law agreements. She has extensive experience preparing cohabitation agreements, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, and separation agreements, helping clients protect their interests and avoid future conflict wherever possible.

Drawing upon her educational background in psychology, Ramneet appreciates the emotional and interpersonal dynamics that often accompany family disputes. She takes a thoughtful and client-centred approach to every file, tailoring legal strategies to meet each client's unique circumstances and long-term goals.

Having grown up in Surrey, Ramneet is proud to serve the diverse communities of British Columbia. She understands that many individuals face barriers to accessing justice, including financial constraints, cultural expectations, and the stigma that can surround family breakdown within certain communities. She is committed to making the legal process as approachable and understandable as possible and strives to create an environment where clients feel comfortable seeking the advice and advocacy they deserve.

Ramneet is fluent in English and Punjabi and is also conversational in Hindi, allowing her to communicate effectively with clients from a variety of backgrounds.

Outside of her practice, Ramneet enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending spin and Lagree classes, hiking British Columbia's scenic trails, taking walks along the beach, and travelling the world. As an avid traveller and outdoor enthusiast, she values the perspective and balance these experiences bring to both her personal life and legal practice.

Gurpreet Seera is an Associate at Shergill Law, where he practices exclusively in family law. He is committed to providing practical, compassionate, and results-oriented legal representation, helping clients navigate complex family matters with confidence and clarity.

Gurpreet earned his Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law in Kamloops, British Columbia, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2025. Prior to joining Shergill Law, he gained experience representing clients in both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia. His practice includes parenting disputes, child and spousal support, property division, divorce, and other family law matters.

Gurpreet is dedicated to achieving practical and cost-effective solutions while advocating for his clients' best interests. He takes pride in building strong client relationships and ensuring individuals feel informed and supported throughout the legal process. Outside of the office, Gurpreet enjoys staying active, travelling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new restaurants throughout British Columbia.
